Guild Tax rate increase.

Nexius Posts: 685 Group: CEO Member #7 Joined: November 4, 2007	We've found out the hard way that the upkeep on a captured fortress is an hourly charge of over 6g an hour. Coupled with the cost of siege weapons and other things we've been forced to up the guild tax rate to 50%. The upkeep is withdrawn directly from the guild bank but the amount of the experience the guild gains form holding it is a huge benefit well forth paying for. I would also like all of you to set your Tithe Rate back to 0%. If you want to donate more just hang on to the gold because there will be plenty of lower level guild mates that will need help getting their mounts and other things. The rate might go up or down but we are going to try this for a week and see where it goes. If money is required or anything feel free to bring it up in guild chat, we're all going to work together on this and make it happen. If you don't like it, you can get the fuck out. If people end up broke as fuck at mount time, and the guild bank is fucking OVERFLOWING, maybe people can all get 5g towards their first mount or something. But from everything I hear as far as the guild xp/hour when you hold a keep, it's more than worth it to make sure we have enough cash to hold that keep for at least several days at a time, and cash serves little purpose to individual players at this point in the game anyways.

It's worth pointing out that this game isn't WoW - there isn't really much to be spending your money on. There are no repair costs, and renown gear is cheap. I've spent about 20g (mount, last name, and one set of renown gear), and I have another 35 in my bag at level 25.

At the topic: I'm perfectly fine with it, not like I need the money... all I spend it on is dyes, and if you guys haven't noticed, the tax rate doesn't apply to the resources you get from quests, and when you get higher level, you get more than one gold per quest.... I just had a quest where I just traveled to a warcamp, and got one full gold. This was somewhere in Chapter 13, so not that bad.
