well... more beta play time i guess!

i saw this coming too ;)

Didn't they just shut it down again now though?

This has to be one of the only betas I've heard of getting shut down so often for so long. Usually they just let it run for more feedback til they're ready to drop it for a major patch. Not drop it for 2 months until the patch is ready.

Honestly gets me wondering just how much they're even listening to their beta testers when they just take the whole beta operation offline for weeks at a time instead of just letting it go to get more testing time in, even if it is somewhat old material. There's no way they're overhauling EVERYTHING at once.

Its called "Targeted Testing" for a reason. Besides, it is such a LONG beta cycle for them, the act of taking it down prevents battle fatigue. It helps to ensure that when the beta servers are up people will be playing them.

I also just realized how this is going to affect me on the preorders. Fuckin' gay and scared me like hell...

I start college in Fall, I leave around the last week of August to arrive to New York. 800 miles away. This used to be a really long paragraph but I'll leave out all of the details out...base line is - If game comes out after that, I'll have no chance of getting my 5 dollars back from the local gamestop because they keep that kind of deposit, and then, I have to find someone that will drive me over to the local gamestop. Waiting until the last month/few weeks is going to hinder me over getting CE, so hopefully I'll be able to use one of meanrock's slips.

What assholes.

It's a national company. You can probably just transfer the order. Or just ask that the switch it to an "online" order where they ship it to you.

Good point, but the whole problem is when its going to release, before or after I leave for New York.

Depends on how long it takes to transfer such an order and have the other side acknowledge it.

To all those Age of Conan faggots out there bragging about how many pre-orders the game has sold... GG

Not sure what filters they were using when they reported that it was the top seller, but I haven't been able to filter it anywhere near the top. WAR, btw, owns all.

Makes sense...

23 million to 5 million.

No one orders AoC from amazon because they don't have the free siege mount preorder thing that gamestop and best buy have. You get like a free bow or some shit from Amazon that I'm pretty sure no one expects to last them past a 5 level window, so no one wants it.

I mentioned in that post I made about it that Gamestop would be skewed abnormally higih towards AoC pre-orders because of that deal.
