In Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning there will be 4 basic archetypes. Each of the 24 classes (12 order classes and 12 destruction classes) fits into one of these. Tank (Chaos Chosen, Black Orc, Dark Elf Black Guard) Role: Close Combat Support Armor: Heavy Fighting Style: Slow But Powerful Engagement Style: Multiple Opponents Specialty: Ally Protection Strongest Against: Light Armor Melee Weakest Against: Ranged Melee DPS ( Chaos Marauder, Orc Choppa, Witch Elf ) Role: Close Combat Damage Armor: Light Fighting Style: Rapid High Damage Engagement Style: One-on-One Positional Specialty: Single Target Offense Strongest Against: Ranged Weakest Against: Heavy Armor Ranged DPS ( Chaos Magus. Goblin Squig Herder, Dark Elf ??????? ) Role: Ranged Damage Armor: Extremely Light Fighting Style: Magic & Missle Weapons Engagement Style: Single & Multiple Opponents Specialty: Ranged Damage Strongest Against: Heavy Armor Weakest Against: Close Combat Healer/Support ( Chaos Zealot, Goblin Shaman, Dark Elf ??????? ) Role: Group Support Armor: Moderate Fighting Style: Primary Healer & Buffs Engagement Style: One-on-One Specialty: Ally Restoration Strongest Against: Ranged Weakest Against: Close Combat If you already know what class you want to play, or at least what archetype please make a reply to this thread so we can get a rough idea of what our balance is looking like thus far. If you on the fence between a couple thats cool, if you end up changing it later thats cool. We are just trying to get a rough idea of what everyone is thinking so far. That way we can recruit a few for a specific archetype now if need be. The sooner we start the better off we will be as we can weed out anyone that sucks ass that we are test fitting. As people reply ill add names in a list form here for each archetype.
